The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Akwa Ibom State Council has condoled with the family of Mr. Gilbert Uko of the Federated Chapel over the demise of his mother, Madam Mannie Nsekpong. A statement signed by the state chairman of the Union, Elder Ephraim Etti, observed that all mortals have a date with destiny, and death is a necessary end to man's sojourn on earth” and therefore encouraged the family to accept the fact that one cannot change the will of God.”
While noting that “life's happenings are beyond human control and man Elder Etti observed that we certainly cannot question the will of the Almighty God, consoled by the fact that Mma led a useful and fulfilled life while on earth”. He however prayed God's to give members of the family of the departed colleague's mother strength, comfort and the fortitude and urged the family to bear the irreparable loss.
Meanwhile, the chairman invites journalists to the burial today at Mbioto Two, Etinan local government area by 10.00am.
