Essu Nlap Oro Inaugurates Lagos Branch PDF Print E-mail

The international president of Essu Nlpa Oro (Supreme Council of Oro Nation Youths) Ulap Apostle Etim Ante has inaugurated the Lagos branch of the organization, with Ulap Chris Ebiefie Ante as the pioneer president.
Inaugurating the Lagos branch executive members of Essu Nlap Oro, the international president charged them to work in harmony with Oron union and all responsible youth groups in Lagos to foster peace, unity and development for the benefit of Oro people, Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria at large.
Apostle Ante noted that Essu Nlap Oro does not operate in variance, but as a bridge between the younger generation, the Oron union and the council of Oro traditional rulers.
Going down the memory lane, the Essu Nlap Oro boss told the Lagos-based Oronians, that Ahta Oro V, His Eminence Odidem Etim Ati Okpo, Council of  Oro Traditional Rulers and the Oro union midwived the birth of Essu Nlap Oro in 2009 with credible youth leaders drawn from the five local government areas within Oro extraction to pilot the affairs of Essu. He noted that through the declaration of Ahta Oro V, His Eminence, Etim Ati Okpo, all youth groups operating at home and in the diaspora are subsumed under ESSU Nlap Oro (ENO).
Speaking further, Apostle Etim Ante hinted that the birth of Essu Nlap Oro has ushered in relative peace and development in Oro land, while cultism, hooliganism and other social vices have been drastically reduced.
He described Essu as the supervisory and regulatory organ for any youth group of Oro extraction operating within and outside Nigeria.
Apostle Ante used the forum to thank Governor Godswill Akpabio for empowering Oro youths through inter-ministerial Direct labour project and urged Oro people in Lagos to continue in keeping faith with the government of Chief Godswill Akpabio, which he said will turn Mbo into an industrial hub in the Gulf of Guinea via Ibaka deep seaport project.
Responding on behalf of the newly inaugurated exco, the Lagos branch president Ulap Chris Ebiefie Ante saluted the vision of the founding fathers of the association and promised to use his position to fan embers of unity, fraternal love and brotherhood among Oro people in Lagos and beyond.
He expressed gratitude to the international president of Essu, Apostle Etim Ante for the significant strides his administration has recorded in Oron nation and pledged to key into his template.
Ulap Chris Ante while thanking Oro people in Lagos for the confidence reposed in him, he solicited the support of the national executive council of Essu, Oro union- Lagos branch and Oro people in Lagos in his administration.
Those sworn in were: Ulap Chris Ante, President, Mr. Effiong Isong vice president I, Mrs. Osborne Ntekim Vice president II, Barr. Ita Umiom, secretary, and Ulap Tony Okponung, Director of Fiance, others are Daniel Effiong - financial secretary, Effiong Esumo- Auditor, Mrs. Comfort  Eyang Okon Nduonofit, publicity secretary, Eteyen Enediok provost, Sylvester Enema assistant sect., and Emmanuel Solomon as Director of Socials.
